Curb Privacy policy

Curb & Canopy Landscape Co. is a landscape design studio based in Illinois. This policy explains what we collect through this website, why we collect it, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We collect the minimum we need to answer you and design your yard. We do not sell your information.
Information we collect
We collect two kinds of information, and both are limited.
- Information you give us. Our contact form asks for your name, email address, and property address, plus an optional message. If you email, call, or text us instead, we have whatever you choose to share in that conversation.
- Information collected automatically. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages people read. It is cookieless, it does not follow you to other sites, and it does not build a profile of you. Our hosting provider also keeps ordinary server logs, which can include your IP address, for security and reliability.
We do not offer accounts on this site, we do not take payments on this site, and we do not run a newsletter. This site sets no cookies of its own.
Where the information comes from
Everything above comes either directly from you, from your browser as you use the site, or from our service providers acting on our behalf. We do not buy contact lists and we do not gather information about you from data brokers.
How we use your information
- To answer your question or return your call.
- To look at your property and prepare a design if you hire us, including concept renderings, a planting plan, and an itemized install estimate.
- To send you your design and follow up about it.
- To introduce you to an independent installer, with your go ahead first.
- To keep the site working, secure, and reasonably fast.
- To meet our legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations.
That is the full list. We do not use your information for advertising or profiling.
Service providers
Three companies handle information for this site. Each gets only what it needs to do its job.
- Cloudflare hosts the site and stores contact form submissions in Cloudflare KV. It receives everything you submit through the form, plus the connection data any host receives, and it provides our cookieless analytics.
- Google Maps Platform powers the address suggestions in the contact form. As you type in the address field, the text you type is sent to Google to produce suggestions. Google handles that data under Google's privacy policy.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces on this site, so your browser requests font files from Google as the page loads.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, if we need to protect our rights or someone's safety, or if our business is transferred to a new owner. We will not otherwise share what you send us.
We do not sell or share your information for advertising
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not allow advertising trackers on this site. If you are in a state that gives you a right to opt out of sale or sharing, there is nothing to opt out of here, because we do neither.
How long we keep it
We keep contact form submissions and messages as long as we need them to respond to you, to serve you as a client, and to keep normal business records afterward. If you ask us to delete your information, we will delete it, except for anything we are required to keep by law, such as records tied to a paid engagement.
Your rights and choices
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what information about you we hold.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete what we hold about you.
- Stop contacting you.

Children's privacy
This site is meant for homeowners and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold, including reputable hosting, access limited to the people who need it, and encrypted connections to this site. No website or method of storage is 100 percent secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we will say so clearly on the page.
